Very odd. I also have the #include <stddef.h> in
sys/_types.h but no such file exists on my system.<br>
But I don't get this error, so the conditionals in this header don't
fire on my system. I'm using gcc 4.7.3.<br>

I don't really understand how these system header files are supposed
to interact. You could try creating a dummy stddef.h in
/usr/include .<br>
